My wife hates when we do garage sales, oh, she wants that CASH, but she's not much for sweating it out in the sun. But the thing she hates the most is I get out there and push the product! But I think I have a method that increases sales. Tell me what you think....
I sit in my lawn chair and wait for people to show up. I see people mulling around and then someone picks something up. I mosey on over and tell them something about it. I figure, if they picked it up, THERES INTEREST! Then I SHOCK THEM with a "Super Cheap / No Way They Can Pass It Up" PRICE! $1.00. It might be worth $5.00 or even $10.00, but no way they can pass it up for $1.00!
In the end I figure, instead of selling 20 items at $5.00 = $100, I sell 500 items at $1.00 = $500. Plus, less crap for me to put away!
We always end up throwing away or donating what is left over (except for the big items) so it's all junk to me.
