Thanks bro, I'm thankful that they we're able to capture everything the way they did. It made the event even that much more memorable :-) And yes Rasheedah is 1st class! Stunning lady for sure...

What's up family? We had a total blast in Vegas. Great friends, new friends, and good food. We couldn't even finish it all. We were practically giving it away a eating seconds and even thirds. I loved the comradery and laughs while at the casino bar. This was the most organized and we'll planned meet yet. Thank you all. I was a late addition after not thinking I could pull it off. Mellymel was gracious enough to let me crash in his room which had an extra bed. Maybe next meet, any solo attendees from across the pond or anywhere else can split the rooms to save on costs. We don't leave anyone in need of anything. I guess this is a gentle nudge to our Boomboxery family members to not feel worried about how to pull it off. We'll make sure you're hooked up.

The Casino's Head of Security, and the Hotel Manager were on board to allow us parade down the escalators, through the heart of the Casino gambling area, and out onto the strip (with a continuous video recording of all it). But, after the event, we went to our rooms with all the radios and rested or ate dinner. Maybe next time. Thanks everyone!

All I gotta say is WOW!!!
It was such a great experience attending and helping out with putting this meet together...the outcome was amazing. A special shutout to Bobby(AKA robtheeassassin) for taking the time to go out and help us find the best place to have our meet. We couldn't have done it without his time and effort...Thank you Bobby!

After viewing this video and listening to some of the members on how they became part of the group, I came to the conclusion that Steve(AKA SLO) is a huge advocate for this group. He was the first one to reached out to me back in February 2015 to attend the first Venice meet. He was the one that encouraged me to attend and made me feel welcomed to the group. Ever since then I've been lucky to attend to many of the West Coast meets.

So, I want to recognize SLO for being a HUGE advocate for Boomboxery.

With that being said...Here is a picture of Steve showing off his famous Chrome Lasonic 931 and a pic of me and Lil Stevie(SLO's offspring) in Vegas!

Good Times!

Last year while I was attending the 2nd Annual Boombox meet in Las Vegas, as I was buying myself a beer at a bar nearby, I met a man named Thomas Hamilton (@iconicriders on IG) We talked briefly about the event, and how the West Coast boombox meets all started in mellymelsr's back yard, and Lasonic TRC-920's garage, and how the meets have grown and evolved. He was diggin it, and was into what we're doing. We exchanged contact info, and kept in touch off and on throughout the year.

When he found out about this years event, he graciously offered to stop in with his wife Rasheedah (@rah_riham on IG) for our 3rd International Boombox meet to do some interviews/"meet and greet" and make a video for all of us in attendance. Here is the video they put together for us, and here is Thomas with his event shirt that we gave him as a token of our appreciation. Thank you Thomas and Rasheedah!!

We we're all glad you we're able to make it Adam! AND you won a prize!

The "Boombox Brigade" through the casino would have been a cool sight to see, Next time hopefully! I think most of us just concentrated on getting our boxes back up to the hotel rooms safely after the meet, which is a big task in itself. But everyone pulled together and we got it done. Even the new guys who I had barely met THAT DAY, huffed and puffed while helping us all carry our boxes back to our rooms! ( We made them carry the heavier ones as an initiation) JK....kind of haha....Big thanks to all

Thank you for the kind words Manny! :smooch:   I hadn't even realized that I have reached out to so many people over the years until watching the interviews, some of which could not make it...I'm glad I did though! It brought
a lot of us all together and not only do we talk boomboxes, we know each others families now, which makes it even more of a good time and much more personal to me :-D Overall it's just a big group effort amongst all of us, everybody brings something special to the table which is what I love, Boombox FAMILY

Apart from being in awe and gob-smacked, I don't know how to respond to this! It's reading like a never ending story of a Great Adventure with many colourful characters getting up to all manner of interesting antics with their pride and joy - as well as some boomboxes along the way! Seriously, I cannot visualise a better family day out with so many fantastic BB's displayed by so many enthusiasts & devotees with so much passion and professionalism. Gawd knows what the level of excitement did to the ol' heart rate at the event but my heart was on overtime reading of this sage and admiring the fantastic images of the event.

:dj-party: :dj: EPIC! :beer2: :gathering:

I am speechless. You guys rock...! :-) What did I say? You hip hop, you break dance, and on top of all that you exhibit a breathtaking array of absolutely fantastic units. It took me ages to read the contributions, watch the videos and drool over so many beauties...

That video was fantastic. Great to see all the faces again! It's amazing to see how far this has all come. Top work everyone!
Thanks again Chris, I remember when I first joined the Boomboxery community 4 years ago, and saw the pictures of the "West Coast" mini meet you hosted in your garage and thinking to myself..."Wow, I need to be a part of this!" Never did I ever imagine that this would grow and grow as it has. We owe it all to you and Melvin for hosting the very 1st Cali meets that lit the fuse for so many of us Californians. Much respect always!

We all thank you bro, this comment alone means that we pulled off a great day :-) I know that you truly recognize how much work, effort, and time that goes into organizing and planning an event or exhibit. Luckily, we have Bobby (robtheeassassin) out there in Las Vegas that did all of the footwork for us for hotel and convention room accommodations, and so much more. Plus we have an awesome group of friends that all helped pull it all together through thick and thin to make it happen. Total team effort ;-)

Thanks for the kind words Steve, I don't think any of us could have seen this coming. For years this has been a small little community, toiling away, doing repairs. Then a few people got together for the legendary Sunshine mixers in Florida, Dessau Germany and then in California. But now it has grown into a global force. Meets in Brazil, Vietnam, Russia, England, Canada, Italy, all over the United States and who knows where else. I don;t see it slowing. Will be interesting to see where it all goes.

Thanks for waving the flag high bro. Since day one you have been a real asset to this community. A highly respected collector. Thanks for all your hard work on this years Vegas meet, these things ain't easy!

I enjoyed looking through these pictures. Looks like a great time was had by all.

Can those who attended tell me what was on the Notice signs on the tables. I figured they would say something like:
Notice. You touch my radio you die...

Also, question. When the room is set up is it open to the public for those who want to walk through and look or is it only available to the boomboxery family?

Great pictures. Maybe one day I will be able to make it :-)

I had a bunch of wallet sized notices printed out and added them to the display tables. No death threats haha, but they got the point across :-)
IMG-20180908-WA0028.jpg

The display and convention room was open to the public and open to anyone. But unless you we're there specifically for the event, it wasn't likely that you would come across the event unless you went up to the 3rd floor where the convention rooms were.

We should have made a big banner or something, but there's always next time...

Just watched the video. I enjoyed seeing all of the enthusiasm in the room. Made me smile because you just can't get that type of atmosphere from text on a computer screen.
