I had the chance to pick up a MacDonald when I bought my GPX 990 and TRC-918 off member TRC-911 some time ago. It was a sweet all silver with aluminum panel. Might even be like the model you have, it's been many years. But to me, it just fits my eye

So I'm starting to prefer square grills, they give boxes a sense of mystery....like as if something badass is hiding behind them, waiting to be discovered, like a hidden bass port or something.

I used to leave off the grills on my 9696, but now I leave them on, because I think it looks badass how the chrome rings are half-hidden by the grills.... It looks more luxurious and tough that way.
