Great portable with batteries built in (6 x 1.2v AA NiMh in series)

Quality sound three speakers on front and two passive one front one back.

Easy to open up with t15 star screwdriver.

The sound is rounded out no super highs or lows. Tweak your eq on your ipod and it sounds great. I would say this is the same as the 3 spk version but adding the two passive radiators so I would presume more bass.

FD, the A73 is not even in the ballpark compared to the original 2 speaker and 3 speaker TDKs.

The A73 was a sad bluetooth version, rechargeable battery, remote, with smaller speakers, poor BT connection, and cheapened quality. Personally, stay away from the A73 unless you really need the BT or rechargeable battery.

It is weird how they chose to put tnose tiny little speakers in there. I'd like to see photos inside to see what they're like.

Why TDK hide the information about there Boombox lines is strange. However the First one were called Life On Record these things kick but drop it on its face and you smash all the controls. These are incorrectly referred to as 2 and 3 Speaker but are actually 4 and 5 speaker around 2010.



TDK made a second release Wireless Boombox range, reliable and well built but had nothing on the Life on Record Series around 2012.

Yeah TDK had a lot of problems with the first series. Broken knobs, bad USB readers, firmware updates. I think they only lasted a year before the new series came out.
