TDK 3 Speaker boombox

Played with the two speaker model at the store last week and my god, it was completely awesome. Can't imagine how incredible the 3 speaker model is. 31lbs without the 12 batteries.

I also played around with the 2 speaker version at Best Buy. Looked great but was missing highs and BASS.
What I really liked was the thick leather and aluminum carry strap, it ooozed quality!
Does the 3 speaker version come with a strap???
That would be a deal sealer for me.

So I asked my friend that works at Imation (owners of the TDK brand), if he get an employees discount and would be able to get me the 3 speaker model. Well not only can he get me one, but the employee price is 50%+ off retail. Getting it for $222+tax. Sick! Should have it in 2 week as they are on order. He also told me the employee prices for the sound box, turntable and 2 speaker version of the box. Now I'm debating on getting the turntable and sound cube at $163 and $135 each as it's crazy cheap. I've never seen the sound cube in person but it just looks like the 3 speaker boombox in cube form. Not sure Best Buy or others have been carrying that one.

So if you happen to know anyone at Imation, you can get the 3 speaker, cube and turntable for the retail price of the boombox alone. If you don't know anyone at Imation, I highly suggest it.

Dang that's way to cool, I would take the three speaker without hesitation and it would be hard to turn down the others as well.
I love the look of the turntable, seems to be of pretty good quality.
Time to start looking looking up old friends to find out if they work at Imation.

Decisions decisions, hmmm, oh damn just take them all.

No strap for the 3 speaker model and no where to connect one.

Im not sure i would feel safe using one if it did, this thing is so
damn heavy !

m40, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I usually keep most of my boxes in heavy rotation. They have been SHELF QUEENS ever since I got this thing. You may have to play around with your IPods EQ as well as the boxes EQ, but damn when you get it right, it sounds pretty DAMN good!

hello all...just went to JnR music word in manhattan they advertised this box for 399 on sale.well when i went in i told the sales man they are on amazon.com for 329 he said let me go speak to the manager....they price matched amazon ..Couldnt wait to get this thing home walking down the street brought me back... (walking around with my first boomer sharp gf 8989II).same thing it was a christmas story ..my late mother bought it for me from lafayette in kings plaza ....she had it on a layaway from the summer i could'nt wait for was christmas morning to open....any way back to this for anyone thinking about this purchase dont even think about it ..JUST DO IT you wont be dissapointed ..the sound is unbelivable features for me are more than enough...looks great weighs a ton and really cranks very nice for a modern retro I feel tdk hit ahome run with this especially for a trowback like me...would like to post some photos but i cant guess im restricted....happy holidays to all .....p.s. thanks to my wife for my early christmas present..

Yes, the Amazon price is very nice - how low will it go? I might actually get one if the prices keep dropping at that rate!
