I gave in...................................$400 later, WOW this sucker pumps!!!!! I honestly went to buy it thinking I'll test it out figuring I would have a huge LUNCH BAG LET DOWN and then return it the next day..........NOPE, its STAYIN !

There are a few short comings but for the most part its pretty SOLID.

Is this just a iPod dock? Or does it have a Radio too?
They do have that look of quality don't they :thumbsup:

I have been wanting to go to Future Shop and hear one, and play around with it...but not sure if i would dump $400+ on one...there's too many old school boxes out there still that need adoption :-D

I hear you bro!.......just make sure you invest in a FLEA COLLAR when adopting STRAYS!

I'm lucky...i only find/pick up the "best of the best" old school boxes...no junk for me and still flealess since day 1 :-D

It's more than luck...it's actually a lot of searching, and a LOT of driving...i've spent thousands on gas alone over the years trying to find boxes :lol:

These suckers are still £399 over here thats $625, why the big price difference :hmmm:

Also who actually makes these, Have TDK got an electronics factory or do they just put their name on it?

Peter, the sound is pretty damn good,and actually I found that using the USB input on box from your ipod gives the box more PUNCH, than using Mini Stereo In or RCA in.
Ive always been a big fan of my Harman Kardon Ipod doc, it is REALLY good sounding!! and suprisingly the TDK holds right up to it and is louder

Oh yah there are seperate BASS and TREBLE in the EQ setting

You have got to give TDK some credit for creating something like this. It looks superb and I hoped it would sound every bit as good. I have not had a less than favorable report about it yet.

It also gets the newcomers curious about our hobby though, can't be bad. :-)

I was lucky enough to hear one today
I was impressed very clear sound
The handle to fat but nice soft leather touch under side of the handle
The touch screen controls radio layout was great
Gold marantz style nobs great
The bass speaker could not handle what we gave it
The kaboom kills it for bass
For the money I will not get one way overpriced you can buy a couple of grains for that money
All in all the laconic 931 I is better value and if you play the right
song through the 931i It's about an 8 compared to a 10 for the Tdk
