the 970 sounds wonderful and dreamy all alone -

but --as soon as i put an m90 next to it ....

then its just like every other of the terrific RUNNER-UP
one piece boxes --
they are all 80 or 90% as good as an m90
--no more than that

Coming to the conclusion no collection is complete (?) without an M90.

btw --my photo posts made the crowns look like huge --
but they are alot smaller than the m90s

the m90 is 3 " wider and 1 1/2 " taller

the proportions and overall looks are nicely similar

I'll see if Mike has another one and try and compare. Tho I love the looks and sound of my C-100f that M90 does have some sex appeal. There was a couple on eBay, I should have bid on them. Oh well.

Crown 970 is a looker! To me it actually very much resembles the Panasonic RX-5150, just a notch bigger and with rectangular tweets instead of round ones. Very cool!
