Automotive themed boombox’s have been available for years and aesthetically speaking, I really like their looks. Unfortunately the one thing that keeps me from buying them is that aside from the automotive gimmick, they generally are of poor or inferior quality and not serious gear which is a shame. Cheap thin plastic, switches with industrial or military looks but feels like it belongs on a $5 toy (plastic and flexy). Tuner knobs that spin a crude dial instead of silky smooth weighted action, and fake graphics on cheap decals rather than actual instruments or indicators, you all know what I’m talking about.
