Nice Work Reli,

There is NO WAY that radio would have made it shipped over seas that way. NO FREAKEN WAY! :sadno:

That chrome looks so

Reli, I have to say, I don't know how much time you put into this radio, I'm sure it's gonna make you a little sad to have to pack it up, but to do that for someone you have never met...man, your a great guy!

Really man  :hooray:

I agree. I'm shocked that the box didn't arrive damaged with that packaging.

Just saw this post. I am speechless. Still able to write. I honestly did not ever even cross my mind that Reli would have cleaned and restored this unit to this point. Without even asking him to do anything. Unbelievable. Unf******believable. And beyond. Cannot find words. Is there really helpful people like him around Bbx society? Let me get back to this later. First I need a long glass of single malt scotch. And a good night sleep to get see if this thread is still here tomorrow. What an incredible guy!!!

Ha ha ha ha.....It was just an "urge", man..... I felt bad for it. It was crying out for help. Plus I just like polishing chrome!

it's still not mint by any measure......The tuner window is scratched, the tuner string is slipping on the knob, and the woofers should be painted in my opinion.....

Hopefully tomorrow I can ship....I will pack the "grab bars" separately so they don't get damaged again...

wonder why they produced so few of this model - ??-while it seems like they made 1,000.000 c100f jobs

conion was such a hip outfit --they should have estimated how desirable these were
==============

as for reli --he IS a HOLY GRAIL !!!

( which ranks even higher than a legend ) :-D

Thanks everyone! :-)

OK this box has 3 chips attached to the heatsink. The 2 main ones are Toshiba TA7222AP. The 3rd one is much smaller and it just says:

T
D880
Y 3G

If any of you own this box and find a tiny spring rattling around inside, it probably came from the bottom of the spare tape drawer. There are two of them, like this:
