Nice job! You still might be able to salvage the original board if you cut out some pieces from aluminum or copper tape, in the shape of those worn out pads.

I thought about that too! But the copper traces the store have are a tad too large (to my eyes). I still have enough PCB for two or three boards in case it doesnt work :p

Might be easier using acid 🤔. That's how we use to make boards in electronics back in da 80's 😉

wow... i have discovered a LED of the taape run is not working and blocks current path for one of the two leds sets... another show stopper.... any info on the LEDs could help a lot, thank you :)

ok, good thing, i salvaged the record light since it has about the same dimensions for my broken tape run LED, i believe when i was doing my tests with the LED i think i heard one crack (possibly for having bad voltages to it ) so putting and dremeling the record light, i have found a square red LED from a garbage tape deck to fit in the recording spot... will keep updated
