Depending on how cool the tip people are you can ask them to hook stuff out for a "Donation".
I remember the good old days when the local tip was unmanned, the first rule was always look in the skip before you throw anything in 1. because there might be something cool to get out and 2. Someone might already be in there!

Now days you can't scavenge from the dump its against the law
. luckily one of my best friends is a trash man and he saves anything he thinks I might want and delivers it to my house for free.

Yeah. The one i used to go to in Kettering had a shop. I got a very nice snooker cue for £2. Also a Toshiba 4 head VHS recorder WITH remote control for £4.
