Just got this in the mail today thanks to our good old LED fetishist :w00t: :-D .
I guess it was too silver for him for some reason so we did a nice trade and now it is with me.
Thanks a lot, Tony :-D  :smooch:

Didnt looked too silver for me , but i was sure she will have a new good loving home, and some other "posh" :-D wooden company (hope she will find a good boyfriend - some of your wooden sided panny's :-P ) . And you Max deserve her more than me with my stupid obsession with black blinky POS boomers  . Zilbap is too high level escort for them  . So happy it arrived in good shape. Enjoy her ( but dont be jealous when she is playing with wooden panny :-D ) .
And you are helping me a lot Max so i know there is no better dude to make this for him.
Thank you.

Congrats Max!

I also have this beautiful Sony CFS-85S. Sony CFS-85S was introduced in 1979.
I believe that was the first boombox to come up with three way speakers.
Mine is in like new condition except for slight dents on all of the dust caps (kid effect). I bought it with the dented upper mid range dust caps. I really love the looks of this box. It is well made and got the luxurious finish. Just waiting to professionally replace the dust caps on them..

My WHOLE idea's on top control radio's has changed over the years....I used to hate them with a passion. They used to remind me of my parents console home stereo.....But I'm finally able to appreciate them

I'm working on that  It's on "The List". I need to get a "Phono to line in" converter. Then I can go FULL ON!

I just rebuilt 2 TRC-920's into one, worked out all the rattles on the Louder Blaster and fixed the switch on the GE, which is working PERFECTLY now!

My garage has turned into Chris' Sweaty Boombox Repair!
