Anyone know where to get the long square belt for a Sony CFS-88S boombox & what the belt size is? I found one site that listed it as a SBS-13.6. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have that Sony CFS-88S and from what I remember the deck mechanism is similar to CFS 99 with that long 13.6 belt.

Long square bet is not the 10.5"
I used 13.6" X 0.050" X 0.045" square belt. That is the long main belt!
Main belt replacement was easy.

I'm certain you are correct. The 13.6" square belt is for engaging the play carriage & heads as far as I can tell & the 10.5" flat belt is the capstan drive belt? This thing is so well built but such a a pain to get to the belts & motor. The carriage belt seems to be in good shape & works as it should but the 10.5" capstan drive belt is slipping so it needs replacing for sure. I know that is why it is playing normal at first & then loses speed. Also, is there an adjustment pot for motor speed?
