Yeah, the auction ended real late one night and I happened to be up working (per usual) and saw it still at a decent price in my book. The second one I got from him was a BIN for a Conion 126 that again seemed to be a good price to me even with the decks needing work, but then he fixed em anyways. I'll update the board when that one shows up.

And of course I reluctant posting to the board with all the gushing about how positive my dealings were with him cause it might get more people bidding against me. I just know that there's people that will flat out not even bid a dime on items from him. I just figured I'd give him some props where due. So until something negative happens, he'll be better than all the 100% positive US sellers I've dealt with, and the 2 recent terribly packaged boxes.

And speaking of the Conion 126. What really is the difference between that and the Technisonic (by Conion) TC999? Seems like the middle and guts must be the same between the two, but the Conion has the print on the speakers and 2 way speakers vs 3 way in the Technisonic version.

This is what I have no, the gold/bronze like one. And no this isn't my video.

So with all the hype I might've cause for that seller, did someone from here win that nice looking 777 from last night that went for $560 total. What's odd is he'll have some go for that price range or even less like mine, and then have others with a Buy It Now of $999 + $200 shipping, and I think he still get's those sold at that night. Maybe it's just trying different methods as some auctions might go higher than the BIN. They all look to be in 8-10 like condition, but have ranges of sold price +shipping from 450-1000+. Even has one listed that has the orig box, manuals and all listed for $1699. Again, another box/packaging for $1000 bucks.

Update as I got the Conion 126. Again, less than 2 weeks from auction win, packaged like it's from the factory, and in just stellar condition, barely a few noticable scratches total. The one thing that I thought might've been wrong with it is that at the bottom by the Inputs, it appeared to be roughed up or something. Well turns out that it's actually the factory plastic that is still over the metal on the front. So the funky looking stuff on the front is just where the plastic is bubbling or starting to come off. I love that it's still there and know that there's untouched surface there, unlike some others I have that are quite rough.

Oh, and like I said before, it was purchased knowing that both decks needed new belts at a minimum. Well he replaced them post auction and they both work, so does the tuner, alarm and everything I've tried. Not even scratchy knobs.

So.... what would a good price for this be? Not sure if I got as good of a deal as I thought I did, but this unit seems like a 9+ outta 10 to me. I mean, having that factory protective plastic is something I haven't seen before. I don't even need to wipe it down.

Check it....

100% sealed tape, and those strong straps under it again.

100% coverage, box can't move anywhere but into foam.

What looks to be roughed up at the bottom, around the bass knob, power/alarm buttons and all is actually a factory plastic that is protecting the metal itself under it. As much as it'd look perfect if I take it off, I think I gotta leave it as is. NICE!

Glad it arrived safe..........But while it may be packed solidly, there's not a lot of insulation around it. One good drop onto a sharp edge/corner could've caused a lot of damage.

its gorgeous -
you took TWO BIG $$ chances and won twice :angelic:

but --agree with reli --
without a few inches of bubble wrap -
there was no bounce cushion --to absorb the shock of a
corner crash

Still better than the vast majority of packaging I've seen, and it's it's a softer foam than I normally see so I'd think it'd absorb better, but there's no gaps like when peanuts are used and the box can shift as I've seen happen. Still in shock that they get all the way from China in such good shape, regardless of how they are packed. I get FedEx Ground, UPS and USPS boxes domestically that just are beat to hell by the time I get em. He's 2 for 2 now, and they arrive looking like they haven't been even shipped from down the block.

Hoping for 3 for 3 now as I have an M70 on the way from him too.

And actually I haven't taken too big of $ chances on these. I think the 777 was about as cheap as I've seen on ebay for one anywhere near that condition. After that arrived so great and he was so good with communication and everything I then bid on the 126. Again, I feel that I got that for much cheaper than I've seen them go for. Again, not sure what yall would price the 777 and 126 at with their rather great nice condition, but if I was dropping $500+ on anything from China, I would've thought I was taking a bigger chance. The first one I was assuming might be a few hundred dollar chance, but I knew that going in.

:agree: :agree: with the guys 1" of foam just not enough protection. You need more bubble wrap. You got real lucky and she is a beautiful bbx  good luck with m70 :-O ;-)

Yeah man, congrats on two very lucky purchases. You will love the 777,
and yes, you can actually blend from one cassette to the other, just as a deejay would. A very cool, unexpected feature. Enjoy!!!!!

:agree: ... with the guys, that agree with the guys, who agree with the guys, that agree with the other guys, that 1" of Styrofoam isn't enough protection. Seriously, IMO, that isn't good packing. That's exactly the same way I received my GF-777. And it arrived with cracks in the case and hairline fractures all over. :'-(

BUT...you didn't experience ANY of that so congratulations! You've scored some pretty sweet boxes. Enjoy 'em!

I hear ya that it's not the thickest packaging so you think it wouldn't work, but I've had 10-20 others with thicker packaging via peanuts, air bags, etc etc and they have had various issues at times because they seem to shift over the shipment, this guys 100% foam sheet coverage is 3 for 3 now, and with big boxes, 777, C126 and M70. The M70 that got here today had 4 inches all around, whereas the previous 2 boxes had 4 inches on top bottom, but not sides. When you get something factory new, it's packed tight with even a stiffer foam than this, so who knows. And if I did get something damaged, I'd work with him to resolve the issue. Sure his English isn't much better than my Chinese, but he still has been more than helpful for my 3 purchases, and even replaced belts for me at no charge, etc etc. And of course all 3 of them have all been around a week for shipping, which I still can't believe when they are all the way from China, and ending up with the USPS. And I'm sure with all the boxes he's dealt that like anyone's packaging, some might be damaged be some night shift package handler playing basketball with it. But again, he's been extremely responsive to me at least.

Here's today's new member of the family. A bit better than my other M70, minimal wear, sounds/functions great, and the ant's look orig too which isn't the case on my other M70.

4 inches all the way around.

Ant's looking new

Bagged up so no foam pieces in it.

Another very tight, taped and nice boxed, not the 2 part beat up boxes I've had from others.

Just a solid model, nice and heavy, just like the sound.

Nice and clean, don't even need to baby wipe it.

The difference between that styrofoam and the stuff manufacturers use is that they use blocks specifically designed for that model. Also, to my knowledge they never shipped direct to the consumer anyway. They just put it on a boat, and then after it arrived in Long Beach or wherever they would transfer it to a truck. And you can bet those truckers take better care of thier loads than UPS or USPS does.

My main beef with him though, is his too-short descriptions, and the time you have to spend asking him questions, and getting really short, incomplete answers in response.
