Holy snikies you have some nice boxes!!!!! I have Trident that is like your Tisonic... Love that Big Boss Helix and if you're ineterested in a front cabinet in nice shape for your conion c100f I'm gonna list one next week on the bay (nicer aluminum.. and new paint - not mint.. but great condition!).

You have what qualifies as a killer collection. Who cares if they're not perfect? :w00t: :-D :-D
i kind of like it when they have a well loved look to them. i mean dont get me wrong mint is nice but i kind of have a thing for the ones that look like they have done duty pumping out the music.

Thanks guys, I am glad you like the boomers. I have accumulated most of these in less than a years time. I found some local and of course you know some came from the bay. I really have a love for boomboxes As a matter of fact, i still have my first boombox that my mom bought me back in the day, about 1982. The rising 20/20. About two years later I saved money from working part time and bought the conion c-100f. Those were the days. Me and my best friends would walk for hours carrying that box. Sometimes i wonder how I toted that thing for so long. I can't even imagine walking around this day and time with that box. Those were some of the best times of my life. The lasonic pictured has been in the family since new. My dad bought it brand new and when he passed away my my sister took ownership of it, then my mom retrieved it and gave it to me.It has a couple of issues, but it is pretty much in mint condition. Hey Johnny I will keep my eyes open for the front case or pehaps you may pm me with a killer deal. You have helped me complete some of my other boomers and i appreciate that. I like doing business with you. Guys I really appreciate the compliments. Let's keep boomboxes alive. This is awesome site. :breakdance:

Thanks Fatdog. That is quite a tough question. I truly like all my boxes, but i do have a few i play on the regular. The c-100, the rc m90, the master blaster, helix hx-4700, gf-777z, electro brand, rising src-2015, c-126f and of course the new edition the m70. I can't stop playing the m70, such a awesome box. All my boxes get some play time, but i don't know if i can pick a favorite. That will take some thought.

Thank you gsbadbmr. I have seen some of your collection as well and it is enormous. I will never have the size you have, but i do enjoy collecting. I give you much props for your collection. I have read some of your post on how you aquired some of your boxes. You are quite dedicated. Keep up the good work. How about giving out some pointers to help others.

Thanks mellmel. I got your pm. I appreciate the advise. It will probably be a few months before i get the chance to do anything. The cold weather and all. I will let you know when. I will be thinking of a color to use while waiting.

Gsbadbmr that is such an inspiration. Wonderful story. This site is a awesome place. It sure would be nice if we all could schedule a time we could do a meet and greet and share the love in person while showing off some of the boomers. I bet it would draw a crowd. Some of my friends are overtakin by my collection. They definately are a good conversation piece. Talking about the old days when we were actually walking around with the boombox. How times have changed. Back in the day everybody wanted the biggest, loudest box you could find. Nowadays everyone wants the smallest ipod they can find. Go figure. It is our job to let everyone know how important the boombox was. Keep collecting.

Kool gsbadbmr. I take some of mine with me as well when i go out. Especially rc racing, to the laundry mat, to the park or just hanging out with the friends. Just don't do much walking around with them. Maybe i will get up the nerve and call my best friend and say hey, let's travel back in time and walk to the ball court shoot some hoops and take the boombox along. People really get a kick out of the radios. Some can't even believe how old they are. Me and you are from the same era. I am 41 and will be 42 next month. :breakdance:
