shipping to the uk from the usa

Hi all

has anyone ever imported a box from the usa to the Uk, ive seen a few boxes i like on ebay.com usa not cheap but
always have nice boomboxes on the site for sale,

but was wondering shipping cost import duty tax, has anyone ever bought a boombox from the Usa and no any tips on importing to the uk
that is a bit lighter on the wallet.

does it make any difference if your buying used second hand purchases, ie the boxes arent brand new so do you still have to pay all the tax's and duty on
a second hand item?

any info would be good chaps & chaplets

or anyone got a conion 100cf or a discolite in the uk, thats for sale, I might even trade my Sharp gf777 if anyones intrested?

Just had a laconic in from the USA.

Paid VaT at customs, and I would say it wouldbe the same for used stuff.

I have had three boomers from eBay from the states and they have all been good.

Paid £97 for Lasonic, £45 for shipping and £30 for Tax...

So a Lasonic i931 for £175....

Compared to £295 here ..... Makes sense...

Does it make a difference for import taxes if the value is listed really cheap - like $10 USD?
