Well hello kiddies.. i was planning to put the other speaker together later on today.. but i couldnt resist finally getting this beast complete..

well good news.. SHE'S DONE!!!!

anyways.. it's 5am and i cant really blast it.. but i already know it will send chills down my spine..

it has serious reserve power..

still waiting on the mono 1/8 L speaker jacks to complete the speaker wiring.. but can still tap into it using the old speaker jacks..

i will be posting video later on this week.. as i live in an apartment complex and i'm 100% sure i will piss off my nieghbors if i blast it.. put it up to 3 on the volume though.. sooo frustrated i cant blast it right now hehe

anyways here are a few pics of the finished product.. there will be a huge blog sometime next week.. will be awesome reading with video and pics galore..

this is a rare beast AKA "The Unicorn" and i am very honored to have restored it and to have it in my possesion.. LLopez.. your gonna love it!!

are far as Bass goes.. it has plenty of that.. crappy mic doesnt do it justice.. also i have a short video of the rare remote in action..

here's the link..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOPUYk6EGAQ

think of the sound as reserved at lower volume.. and kick ass once you hit a certain point.. the sound is full and firm.. anyone with a Sharp 939Z or HK-9000 can get an idea how these powerful boomboxes sound.. absolutely no strain at all.. if i were to run it at say 3/4 volume i wouldnt be able to hear anything outside of the music.. and my ears would be ringing afterwords..

Thanks TMR for that!
I don't have a 939 yet! But do have an 800Z which get quite loud
and I have the Panny 680DT,which is kind of scary but man these
are :-) 50 & 59 watts draw respectively! Yours like you say must have
some kind of Frankenstein power moment above 8 with all that power!!!! :-O :-O  :w00t: :frankenstein: :frankenstein:

Btw what's the sensitivity on those 6.5's and what's their power handling
capability?
Thanks for this and enjoy that beast!!

speakers are 91db and 125 watt power handling 6 ohm rating.. magnets are 30oz... rubber surrounds.. supplier states these could possibly be Polk Audio replacement drivers.. not sure of the frequency responce.. but the bass is certainly there.. speakers are 3 pounds total wieght each..

i have a photo diary of the work done on this beast.. they will be posted on my blog in the next few weeks.. this item will also be for sale in the coming weeks.. so be sure to keep an eye out for it..
