Do yourself a favor and take both doors out then insert the cassettes and try them. Something tells me that everything would be fine :-)
Okay I'll do that, so not that lucky after all? But when I tried to stop rwd/fwd with finger, used almost no force and it stopped. If I compare with my mint m70, there is like 10 times more power in rwd/fwd!

All I'm saying is that even when the doors cosmetically look perfect they might not push (line up) cassettes against the mechanisms correctly, that as a result would case all sorts of odd issues.

Doesn't make any difference with or without the door. The doors are perfect like I said.

So I need to clean/lubricate the mechanism. For plastic parts I use silicon grease, for rubber parts cleaning I use brake fluid dot4. But what is recommended for metal parts? I've heard that automatic transmission oli is quite OK but it smells, what would be better?

I noticed one of the repaired screw posts is very close to the decks. If it's slightly too long or short, cassettes may not align properly with the heads when the screw is cranked down. I'm thinking this because you mention both decks display the symptom (Just thinking out loud).
Rew/FF issue could be related to belts and/or idler/clutch problem(s).

As for lubrication, I've found that 3-In-1 Oil (sewing machine oil) works - and smells - just fine.

All in all, Great Save!

Repaired screw post is exactly the same lenght as original, you can see the repair method that this don't change the lenght. Out loud thinking is very welcome and helpful, thanks! :-) I think you are right about the belt/idler/clutch problem - that whining/rubber slipping noise confirms it. I'll take it apart again soon, probably when bt modules arrive.

Actually it's not that bright as it seems in the picture.
