M70 is deffo the better box but i do listen to one of my 575's more and they do have pretty nice bass but nothing as good as the m70 grandmaster flash sounds proper on the M70!! But in my opinion the 575 is always a good bargain to have they don't normaly make so much so you're get a better box for a ton!! money wise

Here's the .jp variant of the 575, the pearl/gold coloured GF-787.

I've got both that and the M70 and to be very honest your decision should be based on how you intend of using them.

The M70 is a great carry around box, but it lacks bass on low and medium volumes. If you are going to be listening to your box at a
volume level you can still talk over then the M70 won't do as good a job as the 575; which gives really nice sound at low and medium volumes.

However if you're going to be blasting at a volume that is higher, like walking around with it and you want it to be heard over traffice noise and such then the 575 will lose a lot of it's nice sound around the 60% volume level. The M70 will blast away with power to burn in this situation.

Both have very good battery life and both run on 10 D cells. The extra deck on the 575 is very useful, but not if you are only going to use line in. If you are using Line In the M70 is side mounted as opposed to the 575 which is rear mounted. Rear mounted line-in is a pain to carry around, side sockets are much better for carrying if you're going that route. The build quality on the M70 is more solid than the 575 but both are very solid boxes.

There's honestly not that much to separate these two beyond personal taste, and the best part of that is you can't go wrong no matter which one you choose. But, if you're indecisive like me then you obviously need both!

Good luck!

Rock On.

Get an M90!!! Better than both. Sounds good at all volumes and isn't so heavy. I gave my 575 to monchito so ask him what it sounds like. It was good but I'm into the bigger radios. Good luck on whatever choice you make.

I'd have trouble with that one too...I love the older Sharps and they're not as pricey as the JVC's...soooo.... :-)

If you want bass, buy a stack-system ;-) the 575 is much more common, so obviously cheaper as well...... also i would challenge you to find a nicer m70 than my 575e :-P its a cracking stereo
