That is a cool concept. The idea of a ''prison issue'' see-through stereo is neat to know. I can see the problems with yellowing of the plastic as it degrades. Still, very sweet variant to have.

ive just aquired a standard rx fw39L,for 4 pounds-all works apart from the autoreverse which is a bit sticky,but all i can say is this is one of the best mid-late 80s boxes ive ever owned-sound-spot on,quality-spot on,looks-well,for a later model for me it still retains the true period look-not quite slimline mini and not quite mid size-i love it,and the second one on here,the see through one, looks great-wouldnt mind one myself!!!!
