many of us enjoyed this site before we had boomboxery and lots of us still continued on both
sites --we are left with some good memories

Sad to see go such a great source of photos, threads and information. I guess it´s all up to Boomboxery and Russian Shizaudio i suppose.Or there are even more of them ?

just a reminder that it does take time effort and money to run a site. There is no such thing as a free lunch, even if it sometimes seem that way when someone else is paying for it. its easy to take for granted and so when was the last time you've donated to boomboxery?

Oh I just saw this on fb. Yes most of us started there including Bobby. It just seemed like after Bobby started Boomboxery most of us stopped posting on s2g. There was just to much drama for some reason and the format kinda wasn't good.

I was long overdo, so, I wanted to donate more. I didn't see the option to increase the amount. :dunce:

Apparently it's not about money that s2g is closing. It's about owner not wanting to keep site up because of how much work it entails. Anyone I guess can take it over and keep it going according to Cris. Joe u should take over ;)

Sad to see s2g going. I've been there or thereabouts since 2005. The s2g Facebook page remains...
I'll probably be trawling around Boomboxery more often now.
I never did get around to photographing all my 3Ds & posting them on s2g... :(

Man, I know nothing about web ownership and I am stuuuuupid busy. I would rather help pay someone to run it. I would do just about anything to save bbxery.

when you click the donate link on the top of the page, you will see $5 as the default but right next to it is a drop down box button (down arrow) which allows you to choose up to $100 if you want.

Thanks Norm. I did it once before and forgot how to do it. When I went on to the PayPal site, I had trouble going all the way back without exiting PayPal to adjust the amount. No worries, I'll be donate more, and often.

Wow i had no idea. I never really used s2g as i started out here...never even got a login over there. Well hopefully the members over there who arent members here now, know that they are all welcomed to join the funhouse that is boomboxery!

Speaking of running a website....i havent seen a single post from bobby in i couldnt tell you how long. Sure would be nice for him to chime in and talk to us.

I will be making my donation now as its been awhile. Does anyone know exactly how much money it takes to operate this site? Not including time. Just a ballpark estimate? I mean is it $100/ year, $1000, $5000? i have no clue. I would think knowing how much it costs would help members better decide how much and how often they should donate. Just a thought.

I've suggested they pile over here so we'll see who does. And I've just spoken to Fatdog by pm and he's alive and well :-)
