Next week is Xmas, and we have no thread for Boomboxes & Christmas trees. :angelic: I know we used to do this up to a couple of years ago. Post 'em up, people! I know some folks like Joe have had their tree & radio shots up already, well, here's everyone's chance. Boomboxes & Menorahs are cool, too, along with proper festive Kwanza decorations, etc. :hi: I know some households celebrate multiple events. Personally, seeing someone else display joy for another faith or culture doesn't change my relationship with my God one bit. Don't see why it should be a big deal. So all you Festivus party animals, drag out something loud & large and let's get this started! :beer2: :newyear: :weed: :drunk:

Anything is a good excuse to show off your boomers! :stereo:

Even better if the box is an actual gift, killing two birds with one cassette, so to speak.

I'll start.

It's the gold & tinsel thing above the manger. Even up here Christmas trees cost an arm & a leg - $7.50/ft. or so plus tax at 8.2%.

I've comparatively got it easy. I have 8ft. ceilings, so I usually get a 9 footer and trim it up.

Not this year. :-/

Now those star ornaments are cool. I like the lights that outline the stars! I've always wanted one of those Sony's because of the way the tweeters are mounted from the side.

No presents under our 'tree' yet as the kids would immediately unwrap them!! :-)

I resembled that remark when I was their age...

I just realized that I havn't given credit where credit is due. If I hadn't seen and posted in a similar thread at stereo2go, I wouldn't have thought to re-start the one we have always had here each year.

A very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year to our brothers on the "other" site. I know many of us are members of both.

Rock on, dudes!
...and thank you. :thankyou:

I went to Walmart last night, and they were fire selling their remaining Christmas trees. They were discounted 50% off, and when I asked about buying one of them, the manager said - take any tree you like for 5 bucks. So mine cost me 5 bucks this year :D
