Massive trip to pick up some boxes from Sydney and Melbourne just over 2K km's.
First stop quick visit to Lake George to see how much water was in it (Google it)
Passed a nice ute on the way (pick up)
Got to Sydney and picked up the Sharp GF800 I won, the box needs a lot of work though but I guess you get that for $30
Cops were out in force, this pic shows the marked one in front and an unmarked one on the right a little further ahead was another, I passed them earlier and all 3 had pulled over a small truck, in Victoria I had a car up my ass for several KM's I pulled over to let them pass and was going to flash them with my lights but thankfully didn't as it was another cop, sneaky bugger was trying to make me speed...
My car's odo rolled over to 30k
Little church I stayed out front of trying to sleep in my car, by the time I got closer to Sony_Apm_Fan's house it was quite late and my GPS didn't show anywhere to stay.
Getting closer to Sony_Apms town, gods country that part of the state, very pretty.
Never got to see Sony, we had a bit of a mix up in communication, but I did see his town and sampled the food and almost got knocked over by a freaky dog.
Gotta watch out for those walking buses though.
Drove onwards to pick up the boxes I won in Melbourne, a General brand box, an Hitachi 9100E and an Hitachi TRK-8800, I ended up giving the TRK-8800 to Gluecifer to help him restore a box he had which was in much better condition than mine was, I'm hoping he can find me a nice replacement, I also came bearing gifts a couple of 80's compilation tapes I had spares of and some random brand blank tapes. The 9100 I won has Dolby whereas the original I had bought off Aza didn't, nice and loud boxes those 9100's
Had no idea what to expect visting Gluecifer I thought maybe a biker dude with kids running around all over the place because of the pics I've seen of him but he wasn't anything like that, he is a really cool dude to hang with and if you're ever down that way organise a visit to see his Boombox sanctum. Seeing a Discolite and the Sanyo Big Ben in person finally was awesome, to me they are the unobtainium grails.

Great trip but not something I'll be doing in a hurry again, I'll stick to auctions with shipping I think from now on!...
