Dude, just wondering, are you aware of the fact that a golden C100 is common compared to the RC-550LM?
Do you know any other RC550LM? There is one video in france of one but other than that not one appeared worldwide!
If you are talking rare, this is the first on the list.
Other than that - the RC550 is a great box and the M90 is just overrated. I mean I don't want to give my M90 away but for the silver 550, it was an easy choice.
By the way, my new second M90 is on the way.
I think it is justified to own the JVC and the the Victor version

Max, just busting your chops! 
I'm strictly basing how I feel on the M90 and RC-550 on how they sound. I was smashed with dissapointment when I heard the 550 . Sure, it is a good looker and silver is rare, but even my low end boxes sound better than the 550

Sorry, Joe but then there is no way you heard a working 550.
Both of my 550s have a great sound which is definitely comparable to other good units like the M70 or Crown 850.
Being that it is a mono, it gives an outstanding performance.

I know for a fact that my black 550 has a little less treble than another one i heard...
Anyway, bass-wise those really can sound better than many other "graily" boxes.
