Hey all. just wanted to chime in here as I’m going through this right now with the m70 I picked up with broken antennas. I just got the Russell FS 12h antennas today and they are unfortunately a bit too long and would impede the handle from going up/down.

I honestly should have measured first as the lengths are right on the website. The best I can tell the max antenna length is about 8.5” and the shortest is 6.5” stops right at a groove in the rear case and seems fitting.

I think the bases on the FS 12h will work though and I have one missing. I’ll have to modify the attachment point. I ran out and grabbed a cheap HD double antenna and swapped them onto the FS 12h bases. Wish me luck.

Update: installed the FS 12h bases with the pieced in hdtv antennas. I had to ream out the inside of one of the antenna holes to allow it through, you can’t see it from the outside, the tube has a narrower area as it goes into the body that was just a bit too small. The other sides plastic was so busted the base had no problem going in. I glued down a 3/16” thick piece of Masonite to screw the antennas and the attachment wires down to. It was perfect height for the slots to rest against while keeping the bases going straight up through the holes. I think it worked pretty well all in all.
