Hello guys,
I am now the happy owner of a Telefunken HP 1800. The machine is in very good condition for its age.

To begin with, I chose to change the belts and clean the cassette mechanism, because it played audio tapes but stuttered at times.
When I opened the box the only problem (for now) was a plastic part - apparently fell out of the mechanism. I have a service manual and find where its position was, but I can't clearly determine the mutual position (interaction) with the adjacent parts of the mechanism.

I am attaching pictures of the part itself as I currently have it installed and part of the service manual.
The part that fell out is #70, I couldn't find the spring (#69) and it's not clear what the mounting bolt is (no number, other items have a #18 bolt).

I'm looking for some help on how to assemble it correctly. I am also accepting photos of a working mechanism for this boombox.

Well, I've never had one of these but it looks to me that you are missing the spring and maybe a plastic retainer.
If you look directly above #69 (and below #65), it looks like a push in plastic retainer for the spring (they don't call it out in the drawing for some reason).
You should be able to fashion something for it since it probably doesn't hold a lot of pressure.
A small screw that will just thread into the hole and possibly a small washer might work in it's place.
The spring is another story.
It clearly pushes on the part above your red arrow in the picture.
Beyond that, it's hard to say where the other end pushes against and if it's a weak, medium or strong spring.
Hopefully someone will chime in that actually knows about it.
