last week --'won' an ebay Hit 8290 -
of course the seller never mentioned or posted a photo of the crappy bottom panel :annoyed: :annoyed:
1. my first tip today is on matching paint colors --
yes --you could ' pull a joe // blue fuz ' and take your box to a custom auto
paint shop --for a perfect color $$ match -
but sometimes --the box isnt worth all that extra time & gas & money , etc
so -- its cheap and fun to chuck a few helpings of 2 or 3 $1.00 acrylic colors
into a dixie cup -- then add a bit -- till it looks ' just good enough '
in this case --it was chocolate brown and charcoal --came out great

2. --- next tip is for cheapo battery covers
--99% dont have the chris//lasonic 920 skills to make a
perfect metal job -
but 99.3% of us can afford even a PREMIUM grade 2 X 4 = $5.00 TOPS !!
from that 5 bucks --you can make over 200 covers
and if you cant make the spring clips -
this Gorilla brand 1" wide tape make a great lifelong hinge --
