2 other questions: Does it have a line-in like other Lasonics and are those tweeters next to the tuning section or condenser mics?

those cute little circles are mics --
and for the line-in ..you need to get a 5 pin DIN cord

i am glad you got it ,, when i saw it the first time i did not think it was that great of a box ,, but i will tell you that for the most part almost all lasonic sounds good i even have a 3 piece one thats just amazing also

There aren't too many Lasonics with VU needle meters so I figured I'd get it for the rarity.

Also, it's an older black Lasonic... I wonder what year it came out?

well i can tell you the electronics inside are not what you would say modern ,, so i belive sometime in the 80 maybe late 80s

I can't really see a situation where I'd need the RCA's tho.

a tape deck or a tuner or some rca thing thru it

I just remembered that I have some unused fresh in the package mini stereo plug (female) to RCA (male) short adaptor cable that I picked up in Tokyo back in 2006... I forget the reason why I bought it... Amazing!

Even before remembering, I already placed the order for that 1 cable...

Funny how that all worked out anyway.
