I can't believe how "brand new" this box looks. Super clean, no dings or scratches, just wonderful. I would love to upgrade the speakers on the SCR-8 but I don't want to hurt its integrity and condition. The VU meters are so cool!


I texted my wife today and it went like this:

me: damn these rummage sale boomboxes
wife: you didn't buy another one did you?
me: don't worry, I didn't buy aboombox



Then when she got home I showed her and she said "I thought you said you didn't buy a boombox!?"

Then I said "I didn't buy a boombox, I bought 2!" hahahahahaha

Those are very fine pieces of equipment,they're surprisingly loud for their size and give a relatively balanced representation of the sound spectrum as well. Make sure to keep on the decal surrounding the LED's. Yours looks well attached but the glue is known to dry out which has caused for many SCR-8's to appear for sale with the decal missing.

Yeah, I was lucky to get one in such clean condition. I love that box, was using it last night.

Oh yeah, until the next one! My wife is actually encouraging me as she knows it keeps me home and tinkering with them, We'll she how she feels when I hit the 100 mark! I'm only at 10 now!

Mine is the same way...but getting a little nervous as I've eclipsed over 100 but still have about 80 with me...

The Sanyo is a good size box, I know first hand the SCR-8 is a respectable size itself.

I just got another Magnavox D-8443 from a co-worker for free! - Works better than the $25 one too but is in a bit rougher shape.

Not only that, my GF-777Z is being mailed out early next week and my Magnavox 8300 will be here today!



According to my BBX counter, I'm up to 10 boxes

The 777 is skippy's fault because he showed me his when I stopped over at his house. I told him that if I end up getting a 777 that I was going to give his phone number to my wife so she could give him an ear-full, hahahahaha.



I am itching for it to be here already.


The 8300 showed up today. Fun box, sound quality is "eh" - leaves more to be desired but is very cool and more of a boomer I can travel with expecially with the line in inputs.
