RE RISING A 20/20 (lots of pics)

Fantastic job!! Seeing all these restorations is getting my juices flowing again...I need another boombox to restore!

Sell me Your 20/20 (My old one) so You can get to restoring another Melly.

I used krylon primer grey...than i used krylon dull aluminum for the front and krylon lightgrey for the rear...(gloss) than i used krylon matte clear on the front the back is just 2 coats of the paint

...thanks, that Dull Aluminum matches so many silver boomboxes from the 80's. I have been thinking about freshening up my 20/20, after seeing how yours came out I think I have my next project...

Especially knowing how much time goes into this level of restoration!!!
The results were well worth the time spent though because you aced it!!!

Did yours have technical issues too or was it just in bad shape?
My rising def. looks better than yours when you got it, but has some left/right channel problems.
Most of the time just one channel works with full power.. but that changes.

the box was in bad shape but inside was pretty good...thats why i did the full job just had some issues that deoxit was able to repair.I still need to service the tape deck...but other than that it sounds great....
