I love itHaven't seen any of these. Jvc rc-s55. Removable cassette player and dual antennae. Biphonic also. Pics after a quick clean. Any opinions on these?View attachment 54757View attachment 54758
I like the vu meters on this one better than the JR 600. The jr 600 there mounted in the tuner scale and point in the same direction even though it has multi colored led as well.
That's a gorgeous box Rudey! Is this an AKA of another model?

Oops. I confess to skipping over the posts following your pic, and posted my 2 cents without reading. Full steel knobs is an impressive feature and no doubt a rare thing on most boxesYes Geoff, as Floyd says above the Mars J600, Deccasound and a few others. The knobs on these are all steel by the way.
My Mars Jr 600 aka had the same all metal knobs and switch covers. These are very well made .Oops. I confess to skipping over the posts following your pic, and posted my 2 cents without reading. Full steel knobs is an impressive feature and no doubt a rare thing on most boxes
I should have said mine had the exact same knobs and switches except they're black. My Mars Jr 600 aka had the same all metal knobs and switch covers. These are very well made .
EMy self and my AKAI AJ-520 on beginning
The cassette deck is built like a tank.
They call this thing portable but this sumbitch outweighs just about anything I can think of even the big sony fh series is light compared to this. This very unit was at one of the Germany Boombox meets my good friend Skippy bought it directly from Radioheir collection. I honestly don't think there's another one in the United States of America if there was I would find it and buy it. I know Skippy paid big money to have this thing shipped to America.I forgot about this one..
