Err..........not as good as I would have liked although the sound is OK (nothing fantastic) via headphones. A similar sized regular BB would have more depth & range to the sound so best to think of this as a portable record player with tape decks and a tuner included. This is not a BB for serious music lovers but fine to hear (as opposed to 'listen to') while busy with other things or, for an improved sound quality, listening through headphones while visiting the best forum on the internet.6.1SRT said:Nice! I like that little Panny!MyOhMy said:Arrived yesterday, very good condition and full working order although the tape decks needed a little prompting.
I was watching that one on eBay as I liked the folding speakers...realised they would make it sound worse just thought it was coolMyOhMy said:Arrived yesterday, very good condition and full working order although the tape decks needed a little prompting.

The folding speakers are a nice feature, width is 30" (76cm) open, 19" (48cm) closed so it's very convenient for storage & display. There is no input facility other than Mic (front) and CD (via 2 x RCA on the rear) so connectivity could be an issue. I currently have it set up with a Line from the headphone socket to the Line IN on a Yamaha shelf stereo running a pair of small Sony shelf speaker, the sound improvement is significant. The Panny speakers are small and weak, not really up to a blasting session although sound through headphones is more satisfying but definitely not Hi-Fi standard or anything near it.Northerner said:I was watching that one on eBay as I liked the folding speakers...realised they would make it sound worse just thought it was cool
My first (and only) reel-to-reel was also a Fidelity with a similar styling from the same era, £16 in the early 70's was chunk out of low waged worker's pay packet. What youngsters don't appreciate today is the lack of media variety prior to the digital age, if you wanted portable then you had to go with what few choices you had!Northerner said:Cheeky bugger!...I'll have you know these were about £16 in the early 70's which was err, yeh ok it was cheap as chips. They sell for £15 to £75 on eBay tho so that's not a bad profit. Sadly my daughter has blagged it tho so no profits for me lol
