Thanks everyone for your input. All your responses make a lot of sense. Especially the those regarding the possible differences in sound.

I noticed there is one on eBay right now labelled "c-100ff"

What's interesting here for me - they were made in Japan in the "Golden BBX Era" starting from circa 1984.
But I've never seen one made for the domestic Japanese market (with only AC100V).
Probably there weren't any.

FF is lower wattage, there are also FL, FLE, and I want to say an H or P? There was a Riviera C100 (Australia?) and a Nippon CF100, never seen either one but maybe the latter was for Japan. That's Japanese for Japan after all

22.5 watts per channel "max", huh? So I'm guessing only about 10 watts per channel continuous.

Aha, that's bad they didn't indicate consumption power on the plate, to start with.

But even if they did, again consumption power could be measured in different standards.
In some domestic boxes I saw it lower than in the same models for ROW.
Was explained that for their own market they used a different standard.

I think the most important feature regarding the C100 is the fact that, even in the advertisements they show that it makes women TOPLESS :w00t:

Worth every penny! :-D
:agree: :w00t:

Maybe not the right topic, but...

Thats the only thing I need to put on mine Korean one!!

Cheers.

No dial ilumination (all wires there, but no lamp) and no weighted tuner knob too

I dont't know about the others versions, but the Korean is SUPERLOUD...

Your right on the Korean not having a working dial light. I've even replaced mine with an LED to no avail and it lights up beautifully when powered up. Wonder why that is. I'm going to wire it up to make it light up.

So you're saying the "FF" model is less powerful? Less loud?

I'm guessing so, either that or the clarity/bass is less pronounced as you go up in volume. Maybe someone here with one could take the stand and testify.

With the Korean and Japanese models playing at full tilt the Korean plays clean to almost 100 with minimal adjustment. The jap will break up with the bass. Thus needing adjustment with the tone controls.
