Hi people,

I've bought a National Panasonic RX-5030F and I wanted to know when was this model launched .
The motor is labeled Jun80, but, judging by the contruction, the mecha and some details (the piezo tweeters and it's size) looks a bit modern. maybe 1985 :hmmm: :hmmm:

I've got the owners manual and the National Authorized Service List. Comming soon in the Manual Section !!!!

Pedro.

From the looks, I'd say it was more 1980-83. It was a lower end model though, with a tone control rather than bass and treble.

My mother-in-law bought an RX-5150 in 1980-81. There's no way the RX-5030 came out in 1985. Looking forward to the manual!

Nice scan, I would agree that is a 1980 box. I remember seeing this box and it's siblings when I was big in to boxes around 1980.

Huh? I always thought the 5085 cost less than the 5150.
Maybe cause the 5085 had newer technology?

verified production span:

1978
1979
1980
1981
1982
1983
...?

we found a brochure from 1978
and a catalogue from 1983.

two versions :two and four bands
different grills,reception bands.

Four or more years production span was quite common in the 70s and 80s.

well it would make sence the 79/81 or even 83 time frame for the manufacture ,it lookslike every year there was a new model leaving the factory to the stores    :ninja:

Thanks people !!!!!

Mine version is National Panasonic, four band, black scale with green lines, and the grills have the "stereo" label in its centre.

Nice design and size. Quality is botton-line though.

When I've finished its service, I'll put a review.
