Haha! Thanks guys!

We'll be doing another shoot at night somewhere more industrial sometime soon!

So I'll need more suggestions then! Of course the DisoLite will be #1 contender for any night time shoot.

Gotta agree with Ira that the Sony CFS was the best option of the lot. You had the angles and other details that matched the Supra. Even though the others are super boxes. They don't have the "fit".

Regardless, those are some beautiful shots!

BAD A$$

Totally 80's, what a beautiful car. That really was the top of the line as far as Japanese cars were concerned. I had and 86 Celica, really nice car and quick for it's time.

Those pictures just came out KILLER....perfect choices on blasters

and Glue, your wasting away to nothing! You look great man! I see walking to work with your 975 is really paying off!

Great Thread!

:agree: :agree: :agree:

And heck if any of us walked around with our heavyweights the way Rick does we'd all look like Jack Lelane!!!

Rick, if losing weight is an unannouced goal I wish you the best on said goals. If the weight loss was an unintended consequence, let me help your unintentional ways by sending me the Tiara M-90!!!

THOSE ARE AWESOME!!!

My daughter is into photography. She's getting into light writing where you keep the shutter open (I think) while you move the light in some pattern... I hope you try that out a bit, too. Maybe just a diagonal top to bottom, because there are so many lights and you wouldn't want to mix them up too much.

Thanks everyone!

The weight loss has been an ongoing project since October last year, I think I've lost about 20-30kgs so far, still got a fair way to go, but very pleased with the results thus far.

We took about 100 shots yesterday so there'll be LOTS more to come, once I get em all 'shopped and sorted I'll make a new thread up for em all.

Holly: Fantastic! I teach a digital camera class (amongst the others I do) and have picked up a lot of the tricks to adjusting that kind of thing. I only really put the camera into another mode for these shots, and that was to to put it in Night Mode for the shots where the headlights are pointing at the camera. This is essentially a slow shutter/wide aperture setting, which in this situation makes for more lens flare and blooming off the headlights. Which is a look I was going for.

Hope your daughter follows through on her passion for photography!

Hmmm.... When I get my EA900 I'll bust out the D-10 and Photoshop.

I don't get into a lot of aperture/iso/shutter settings stuff on my little Fuji S1500 when I'm out on a shoot in a public place where time is an issue.
I'm always pleased I can get these kinds of shots out of a $200 camera though and when I shoot in my house I have lighting rigs and tailored settings for shooting my radios properly.
One of my indoor shoots can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6668&hilit=rock+on+perdisco
Not really a fan of the condescending tone of your post though, Radio80sFM. Apologies if it wasn't meant to 'read' that way.

Shane: I've been on Lite'n'Easy to unlearn all the bad eating habits I've picked up over the years. But successfully losing weight is simply put in four words:
Eat less, Do more.
