Hey all, I am trying to find the brand and model of boombox I owned back in the 80s. I have been searching ebay and the internet and cant seem to find the exact model. I thought some of the clever people here might be able to help.

I have found the same one was sold under different brands each one with their own styling. The only I am looking for would have been sold in the UK around 1985 or 1986. It is silver/chrome on the face plates with a grey case at the back.

The look alike models are Saisho PT550, Matsui SX5150 and siemens club RM877 (below).

The speakers looked more like Saisho or Siemens, the graphic equaliser controls were light blue. Was it released by anyone else?

I had a shufti through some Argos catalogues around that time with no luck, worth double checking though, loads of retro stuff in these:. https://retromash.com/argos/

I'll see if theres anything similar for Curries and Dixons fliers.

This 1985 Dixons Catalogue double spread has a Saisho PT550 that looks different to the pic you've posted:

Blowing it up there might be blue on the 3-band?

Is that closer to what you're remembering?

Actually - yes. The brochure seems to show the blue graphics equaliser. The colouring was more like the P424 above it but maybe thats just the photos/scan of the brochure. Its very likely to have come from Dixons so maybe thats it. Thanks for helping :) Now I just have to find one.
