The Way, way back came out in 2013 and did quite well. Set in 80s. It made $26 million on a $5 million dollar budget.

I prolly been where this was filmed, the guy I work for owns house in ocean city right behind the green turtle bar and grille. I go down there several times a year free if charge and work on his house and get paid for it lol. Its ****ing great and his house is on the canal and he has his own boat . I work like a docking mule while I'm there but he pays for everything was even the whiskey I drink.

Ah, I love the trailer and smelling a freshly opened cassette inlay at 1:20 - who hasn't done this? As for laying down with a speaker at each ear because of not being able to afford headphones: it's wasn't just me! We've got Susan Sarandon drinking like a Boss, boomboxes galore and all things 80's so much so we'll feel like we're still there!
