Picked up at Sony CFS-77 and JVC RC-838

Always loved the look of that Sony model 'cause it appears to be machined from 2 solid blocks of metal.

If the 838 is in good/great shape, I'd hold on to that, unless you're not a big fan of the styling... It looks better than the Sony to me!

I am going to keep both, the 838 has grown on me, and I ordered a strap for it

yes the sony is a keeper i have a 66, two 77s a 88 and the 99..

Me too have all those Sony models. I love them. RC 838 is unique. I love it except for the fact that those speaker grills look like a shredder.
