I just want y'all to notice that she stated "when" - not "if". :'-(

:eek:fftopic: :smooch: Love You Honey!

So FD...what would YOU do?
;-) Keep in mind I recall driving around the ghettos of Nashville looking for the homeless man with the box in his cart that Grandpa Dog supposedly saw! And I believe we only had $50 in cash to offer :-)

I cant believe that it is someone's own choice to be homeless and unemployed in this time of crisis..so instead of robbing him from the last things he has got i would wake him up and give him the 100 dollars i have just won..the box will surely come another time..

You'd be surprised how many homeless people we have by choice around here.

It is very sad, there are truly people that had no choice, yes, but there are even more that earn a pretty penny panhandling on the streets and sleep in shelters for free / next to nothing.

I will take the gamble that this man isnt homeless by his own choice.

If he said no to A then I might have to go to C.
Once you go with A, option C can't play out because you've alerted the bum to the potential value of the box. He would guard it like 20 pounds of crushed aluminum cans. Unless you bought said bum another Costco-sized bottle of Jack Daniel's and waited in the bushes for it to take effect. Then you could go with option C!

I would have to wake him up and ask if he would like to sell it. I couldn't see myself taking someone elses property and leaving $100 for it. You never know what their attachment to that item may be.

If you were asleep in your gagrage with the door open and all your grails on display would you be ok with waking up and having your M90 or 7700 gone and a crisp $100 bill laying there...I think not.

In all honesty the devil on my shoulder would want me to do it but the angel on my other shoulder would make sure that I didn't. I look at it like this: I have 30 grail type radios and this guy has 1, how will the man upstairs look at me for taking what could be his prized treasure when I already have 30? Great subject Paula...as a collector it is very easy to let your passion for a particular item cloud your better judgement...just my 2 cents..... :-D

i look at it like this if the dudes passed out drunk hes already taking what little money he has and spending it on booze so fifty dollars worth of beer and fifty dollars worth of sandwiches would be the way to go that way he gets his drunk on and his eat so he doesnt die from alcohol poisoning

I'd probably do A. I would feel really guilty every time I looked at it if I didn't at least give them the opportunity to sell it. I would probably feel guilty only offering $100 if I didn't let him/her know it was worth more, too.

:-/

You are challenging our morals HERE!!!

A.
Unless your scared of him!
I would imagine he may well have "a little friend" if it were in the US.
Not much chance of that here in Aus as all fun things are banned!
Waiting for boomers to need a licence or come with a picture of a damaged cocklea saying "warning! Listening to loud music may damage your hearing!!!"
