such a waste on so many levels.
if they are working why throw them out.
i mean to me this is not recycling its just pure and total waste.
this happens here too.
those big cobra tops for sure are worth seven euros.
i mean some of the cobra topped boomboxes are at the very top of the list for good sounding portable stereos.
i suppose for me it would make more sense to ship these all off to some place and give them to the poor.
i mean its not about being sentimental for the boomboxes, its just not really what my idea of recycling is.

True!
This is senceless destruction.

btw: The cobras cost 12euros each.
I took one as partspender for mine. ;-)

If i was in the skool authority, they would go to a charity flea or so.
So it would have sence... :angelic:

It's even worse that those Cobras are being ground up never to be seen or heard again.

Seems to me that the best recycling is to get the box in to the hands of someone else not grinding it up. :hmmm:

might be useful to grind some, of course,

but some could be used for charity as someone said...

RECYCLE YOUR PLASTIC !!!

:ninja:

they will be reborn as beautiful TV S !!!!

yay :)

:agree:
i mean recycling never was supposed to be a industry revolving around taking working devices and then reprocessing the raw materials to turn them into less quality merchandise that no one either needs or wants.
yes one could argue no one wanted these old panasonics either.
i find it disturbing the acceleration of the erasure of the technology of the last one hundred years.
i mean whats going to be left in fifty years of our society.
everything that can be melted down or turned into new goods will be.
i mean it is also food for thought that those panasonics could have just as easily been early eighties jvcs fifteen years ago when the schools bought these panasonics.
such a massive waste.
