Oh boy-o-boy yippie! TRC-951

Listed at $xx.xx starting bid - no buy it now - I emailed the seller. We agreed on $xx for it and he said he would switch the auction to "buy it now" but he left home and went back to work and can't change it from his PHONE! :'-( :annoyed: .


He said, I can change it when I get home in about 4-5 hours!


I said, this is not good because if there is a bid he can't change the auction over for me. :'-( .


I asked again 2 hours after we last spoke if he could end the auction from his phone and then re-list it later so I don't miss out. He said no......


Another reply - wait, I can call my girlfriend and tell her to change it to buy it now!

So after it sat on ebay for 4 hours I just bought it (no one put a dumb start bid in) .


Thanks guys for not bidding - I know some of you saw it while I was refreshing the screen and twitching!

I think it is the most rare of the 900 series Lasonic . Now to get my hands on a 935

I remember former member Johnny having one of those... Always looked like a stealth 975 with the square woofer grille styling cue from the 935.

Yeah, those boxes are rarer than 1st edition 931's and 918's... Certainly don't see those often.

I'm interested in where this fits in the Lasonic Timeline.

The styling looks much more early 90s.. but It's got the original Lasonic logo, which became Italicised in the late 80s.

The TRC-975 bridged the logo changeover as there's models with the first logo and the italicised one.

But that doesn't explain to me at all where abouts this one fits in!!

I do like the stealth black style and the mixing of the 935 and 975 looks for this box...... I have only seen 1 or 2 different ones of these in pictures, but nothing that anyone currently has.

Sorry to hear that , sounds like the transformer For some reason these old black lasonics have this problem in shipping Hopefully I am wrong

I opened the box.....

Damn it. Well, they sort of followed directions . Some bubble wrap, some peanuts, cheap ass chinese box .


Looks like USPS wanted to test the strength of the rear case corner by the transformer and seriously, if those transformers weren't tethered so good to that rear case circuit board the inside of this sweet ass 951 would be destroyed.

So f-u to USPS
a "thanks, kind-of" to the seller

Transformer broke loose and the rear case is broken, but it is FULLY WORKING! Woo hoo - Good thing it was insured . Now I gotta get some/all my money back and fix it up.
