Alright, I give in. For all of you Australian members who might have been wondering who bought it...............
Ever since I started collecting there has been possibly 3 boxes that I would be prepared to break the budget for and the chance of coming across one in nice condition in .au is pretty slim.
I know there are several members who do frown upon paying big $'s for boxes but this is one that is incredibly rare in this country and especially in this condition so I went for it.
Rest assured it has come to a good home and will be well looked after for years to come...........
Just got to get an M90 now
She's a beauty!!!!!!!
It still has the original door cling and cassette storage tray. There's one small nick on the top and a small scratch as well but thats about it. I haven't even cleaned it yet so it should look amazing when i do. It was one of the best packaged boxes I've ever received and the ebay seller was outstanding. I spoke to him on the phone and he asked me how I wanted it packed and shipped which was a refreshing change.
It does have some technical issues which I'll need to address (these were disclosed in the listing). It needs rebelted which isn't a real big surprise but the strange thing is that the power seems to be on at all times. I think this is connected to the fact that the tape player is constantly on, therefore the door doesn't open freely. Does anyone have any ideas how to repair this?
I'll make a proper post in the tech section when i get round to doing the repairs. I'm just enjoying looking at it for now and booming my ipod through it.
I knew these were big but I couldn't quite believe it when it arrived and MAN it is LOUD as hell...................
Hope you enjoy the pics
