How extremely freakin' is that????

And if I'm not mistaken, that is "technically" a Victor RC-M75, right? (Jap version of JVC M70, but with added pitch and mix control.)

What does the back label say?

Wicked cool! Thanks for posting!

Have a Japanese Victor M-70, and they all came with the pitch and mix controls. It says RC-M70 on the nameplate, with the rest in Japanese. Can post a photo if you like.

The M-75 (check my avatar) is multi-band (Japanese Victors are just AM/FM), gold, and just like the M-71, but with the addition of the pitch and mix controls. Thought once that maybe it was an export version of the Victor M-70, and sold in Japan to tourists. Electronics stores like Laox have whole floors devoted to selling export versions of Japanese products to tourists.

The truly rare and wild one is the Japanese RC-M70GX, which appears to have gold trim on a silver box. (Never saw one in person; just going by the photos.)

Glad to finally see you with an M70...and in full dress to boot. Very nice!! How do you like the sound??

Thanks!

The sound is pretty damn good, but there's something wrong with the treble slider and it won't gain or cut. :-/

Sounds like it's above being flat but definitely not maxed out either... I can only imagine how much better it would sound if it worked...

For the moment, I can't complain much, but I can't make the M70 vs. M90 comparison I wanted to make. :-/
