Probably nothing new for most of you hear but I've found this invaluable.
When I received my BigBen I noticed a round tube in the battery compartment,
it's a simple thin plastic sleeve that is rigid enough to keep your D cells from popping out
when you're putting them in or changing, which I find always gets me cursing when they fall out
all over the floor.
Slide your 4 or 5 D's into the magic sleeve though and they notch in perfectly stable inside your blaster and aren't falling all over the place the next time you open up the compartment.
I find this ESPECIALLY useful for the TRC-931 that stores it's hard wired power cable on the top shelf of the battery compartment. Taking it to and from work and plugging it in and out of mains power means I don't have to worry about
10 suicidal D cells ready to make a break at a moments notice.
I'm sure any thin plastic tubing could be used, and I encourage those who've not had the pleasure to make a couple up to try!
Rock On.
