hey all!
im looking to get a nice boombox to place at the back of my lowrider for crusing around.

here´s what the lowrider-platform will look like(still in the mail, will get it next week or so..):
http://www.bicycledesigner.com/lowrider_trike_kit1.html

the platform will measure 20 x 10 inches.

i want a boombox that i can use with my ipod classic 120gb, and iphone 4(would be nice if it worked with iphone 3gs aswell, for my girl)

those are my options at the moment:
http://cgi.ebay.com/DIGITAL-MIX-MAKER-I ... 230d6b37cc
http://www.alteclansing.com/home-speake ... vt/imt800/
http://www.amazon.com/Lasonic-i931-Boom ... B001KLYTLY

any pros/cons with this models?

i personally thinking of getting the itbb(first link) cause it looks very customizable, and is pretty cheap..
i guess the altec one will provide superior sound quality, but i might be a bit to futuristic to bang alongside with my trike.
and for the lasonic, might be to big?

last chance is i hook up the ride with something like this:
http://www.bicycledesigner.com/defaulth ... r%3D540006
but them hooks looks a bit to narrow to fit a boombox, right?

thanks.

any input is appreciated

I love custom bicycles.

What about taking a classic one with line in? ;-)

If taking a modern one, i would choose the 931i, because of the classic look.
The ALTEC should be better sounding.

Yo I kept that site! Hot stuff there. Bikes are hot!!
As for the proper radio :agree: with Vienna and go with the i931!! It's period correct in my opinion!!
The other one is a little bland. Nice chrome on the Lasonic

I think the Altec will be your best bet.
Rugged build quality and sound is great.
Would be very easy to strap down and the batteries last a long while.
I would not trust the build quality of the Lasonic to be on a bike at all.
My two cents.

There are a lot of boxes
Best are those with AUX (line in) cinch connections.
Here you can hook up the ipod, MP3 player,... with a simple connection cable:

At boxes with DIN connectors, it´s a bit more difficoult. :-/

At least you can use a MP3-tape in any boombox you want. :-)

the mp3-tape looks really cool! my imac has sd-card slot, so that would work out really nice!
then i get get a more rugged boombox for a more ghetto-ride feeling.
thanks for the tip!
i think thats my first try, since it will probably be the cheapest aswell.

so, any idea for nice looking boom box to sport with this?
im really new to this..
i used to like sonys products a lot, have they made any nice boomboxes you guys now of?
