Newbie sharp gf8989

Just bought a sharp gf8989 to replace the one I had in 81 love it gonna fit new belts and clean up the tape mechanism any advice would be appreciated.

Hah, that's kind of funny as I was just latelay wondering why there are so few 8989 posts here. Just got a wonderful 8989HB but wanted to wait until I manage to do some pics of it. So sadly I can't give you any advice yet but for sure welcome you here!
