I'm an 80's kid having graduated high school in 1984 - lol!

My first boombox was the Conion C-100F. I bought one new back in 85 or so, and for the life of me I can't remember what happened to it!

So I had been on a quest for quite sometime to get another one. Luckily for me I have a friend who owed me quite a bit of money, and I found the one that was for sale on eBay with the box and manual (being sold by a member of this board) and he was able to get it for me!

I'm a professional photographer and I work with a lot of glamor and fashion models, so I'll be using my Conion as a prop for sure. I'll post photos when I can here!

I would like to start a collection, and I think my next goal would be the Sharp GF-777 or ultimately the GF-1000

The GF777 and 1000 are both worthy grails - my modded GF1000 (replaced drivers with new Rockford Fosgates) is playing at this very moment, and sounds amazing.

Nice photos on your site...I'll second Fatdog's "hubba" and add some ! I really wouldn't mind seeing some more Jasmine.

I've yet to see a GF-1000 for sale anywhere. I see GF-777's on eBay - just a few usually.
I don't have the extra cash now anyway, but I'd like to see what they sell for at least.

I got mine around '04 from a trusted seller in Hong Kong known as Peppin, but haven't seen many since. I can only think of three or four boomboxery/S2G members who have one. I seem to have a fuzzy memory of one selling on ebay a few months ago for six or seven hundred, but I don't recall the condition of it.

I've been hemming and hawing over whether to sell mine to make room for some component-style boxes - I've really been digging these lately. At the moment I've decided to keep the GF as it's just so pretty to look at, but if a nice Sony, JVC or sharp multi-piece comes up for sale, that may change! lol

PS. I'll edit this post rather than add another one - redbenjoe, see PM. Would consider a trade if it were a mint (not minty or mint-ish (lol), brand new looking) PC-55...this model is my childhood grail and to have one in new condition would be worth a lot.

The 1000 / 777 you seek is the best bang for your buck, seriously. I have one and probably use it the most for taking around to different events. Truely a killer box.

Yes indeed! I like and want that one simply because of LL Cool J - lol!
I wanted this Conion so bad mainly for nostalgia reasons, having one as a teenager and such. Figures the one I had back then ended up being one of the harder ones to get, but that's my typical type of luck - lol I wish I had photos of myself with it from back then.
