The problem with this box is after playing it and rotating to a different box is that almost everything else sounds crappy in comparison.

Glad to see you got it back and it sounds nice. The white woofers would have made it still have 'the look' of a classic. Any plans to paint the speakers white?

Got my boombox back, Can't figure out how to add more pictures to this thread? help? Anyway it sounds wonderful! Lots of bass, no rattling or anything, and I think the speakers have a higher sensitivity then the old ones too!
Nice one!! It'll have that awesome, high powered 15V 3 piece Boombox sound!!

Play a bit of this on your C100. Just had my RX-DT680 cranking the same Smiths track last night - feel the bass! :-)https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pEq8DBxm0J4

Hahah, It does sound amazing, My car has a rather good Bose system and I have a Pioneer SX-1080 with Advent Speakers which is in excellent shape, and the Panasonic does not make me miss them, I feel the new speakers have more detail and better bass then the old ones, I've always been a Panasonic 3 piece fan, in the 2000's I brought home several of the awesome black three piece ones they made, All were loved, They didn't have the beauty of the RX-C100 though, I love its sharp angular lines, and no nonsense design, The white speakers were very cool, But I actually really like the look of the black ones too, they blend well with the grills, and the black goes with the dark tinted display, I have kept the old ones though, The shop said one of them, has a voice coil that will not live long, For some reason, the dust cap is factory glued on, But around part of it there is no glue, He said the glue went under the cover and stuck to the voice coil and damaged it, Weird, I bought the 17 dollars worth of D batteries, Panasonic Alkaline of course! I'll have to take more pictures of it, Its literally mint! I've fallen in love with it!

Great to see it is up and running!
Agree with Reli, the black tweets would balance the look, and 'Mean' it up a bit .

Yes, could be cool, although the pictures don't really give it justice, The tweaters look almost silver, I do like how they go with the chrome and brightwork of the box, and I like how the black speakers go with the dark tinted cassette and fluorescent vu meter glass, Ahh, I'm nervous to use the cassette deck too much, Don't want it to break on me, ahah, I'm paranoid! I imagine the belts were replaced though, Its 33 years old doubt they are original and the contacts have been cleaned too in the buttons by someone, The guy I bought it from got it at a antique store, Perhaps they serviced it there I dunno

Hello,

In the 80's I was a teenager and I owned a brand new Panasonic RX-C100. Loved it so much. Unfortunatly, the years went buy and I let it go. I am now looking to buy one in good working conditions. If you ever have one or know of one for sale, please let me know.

Thank you!
