They do with a special component apparently, i read up on this a while back, they are rare though, and I don't have one unfortunately. I think it was the amp component that you replace, from memory. I'm sure it would be for a substantial reduction in power.

Been after one of these forever, seem to be fairly common, but always great to score a radio in such lovely condition, just needs a nice clean. Not too shabby for a grand total of $10 found in the wild!!
Needs a VU light and a rebelting to get to perfect. I hear these aren't pleasant to rebelt? Anyone got any tips or belt sizes? I find it most disconcerting to spend a day gettting into a deck only to find I don't have any belts close to the sizes I need.
m9998k will always be one of my favorites. in fact if i had to pick between the m70 and m9998k i would pick the latter.
its just a great looking radio and it sounds right up there at the top of this list for one piece boxes i think its perfect.
