Here is my little review of this boombox:

The design is a copy of the SHARP 575.
I like this look, as well as the layout of the buttons and functions.
Radio:
The tuner works well and receives a lot of stations without even opening the antenna.
Cassette:
We commented on the cassette mechanism used in this boombox.
It has it's pros and cons.
It is currently new and works quietly and without any complaints.
The auto-stop at the end of the cassette also works.
I haven't tried recording, because I make my recordings on a cassette deck.
CD player:
It works well with original and recorded CD-R discs.
It also plays MP3 CD-R discs well.
The display only shows information about the song number.
There is no CD text or MP3 text.
MICRO SD / USB player:
It plays MP3 files well.
The display only shows information about the song number or folder.
There is folder navigation (+ -). Тhis is good for finding individual albums.
Тhere is no MP3 text.
Bluetooth:
It connects easily to a phone or other device. The display says PAIR.
Line input and Mic input:
The line input is suitable for connecting other audio devices.
Mic input have volume and echo controls.
Display:
Shows information about the different sources and for CD and MICRO SD / USB players.
VU meters:
They have lighting. They show the signal level and do not depend on the volume control.
Treble, Bass, Volume:
When adjusted, information is displayed on the display.
The sound quality is good and there are no vibrations from the plastic housing.
The volume is sufficient for a medium or larger room.
Power supply:
AC 220 volts. DC 12 volts on batteries, I have not tried it.

In conclusion, I can mention that I am pleased with both the design and the capabilities of this boombox.
I miss the remote control from the Japanese version.
Whoever has decided to get something with a retro design and modern functions will be satisfied.
This is my personal opinion and I am not trying to advertise the product, but to share my observations.

Absolutely right ❤️

Congrats on the change.
That looks quite different.
How did you do it with paint?
How did you color the door - did you disassemble it?
I like the sticker with the boombox on the door of the CD player.
Show pictures of the other sides of the boombox.
Show this model with the 3 speakers too.

Listening to mine today. So far it has been rock solid for me. I adjusted the tape speed when new and that is all I have touched on it.

Even took it to the beach this year.

I have been giving my vintage models a break. Today I have been blasting my aiwa backtrack this entire evening and I have come to the conclusion that this boombox, without a doubt, is the most fun a man can have with 8-D batteries

Down in my basement with the volume and my phone all the way up for 4 hours streaming my favorite tunes. My Tenergy 10,000mAh NiMH D's hung in there. The tweeters survived some harsh moments and the bass did not distort. I'll worry about hearing damage tomorrow.

Not a retro box ..Not a high quality build ...but look at the design ...the VINIX VPC 7704 ... its a very crisp design even by todays standards .

Welp, TechMoan's weighed in on this finally (against his better judgement), and the results are in: In short, expect low-end 1990 (or so) boombox quality, with all the modern features that people expect these days. He liked the sound quality, The FM & DAB/DAB+ worked decently if not spectacularly, the tape playback was surprisingly decent, but the record functions (even the USB/MicroSD!) are better off not being used.

I was a little disappointed by the review. I’ve owned this boombox for 6 months and I’d give it a solid 8/10. Sound quality and build quality is great. Sounds as good as 95% of my vintage units. The sharp GF575 clone aesthetic is spot on too.
Only weakness is the high noise floor when recording to tape. NP for me bc I always record on a good home tape deck anyway.
I love this BBX so much I’m thinking about buying a second one. Definitely a cut above the lackluster “retro” units in recent years. Feels like a legit old-school unit to me.

If you look at the start of his video, it was gloom and doom but towards the middle to the end, I think he was a bit surprised the more he tinkered with it. For example, the knobs he was expecting to wobble and feel cheap but that actually felt pretty good with no wobble and a smooth resistive feel, etc.. For the money, it's really not that bad at all. The sound is quite good for a boombox. If I had this in the 80's I wouldn't have been shy to get into a boombox battle at all. It certainly has as good of a thump and crisp highs as my older higher end boomboxes.

He's not wrong about cassette recording. It does suck but I knew that by seeing a permanent erase magnet. That tells you all you need to know without wasting your time trying to make a cassette recording on it. The USB and SD card recordings are at 128kbps so they are somewhat enjoyable but I never recorded on boomboxes anyway unless it was off the radio.

IMO, this was a favorable review for Techmoan for a modern boombox. He wasn't as harsh on this as he was the ION boombox. Those are only $69 USD so you can't expect much for that price. His Aldi boombox he purchased at $29.99 was much worse. Mono playback, wobbly cassette playback, etc..

All in all. I have no regrets on my China-box purchase. I have purchased many newer boomboxes with cassette players like the ION, the GPO and I can tell you that this boombox gave me the best experience today of what opening up a boombox new back in the day felt like.
